The giant Panda

The giant panda is a very beaultiful animal that is native of central-western and south western china.The Panda's diet is 99% of bamboo because they in bamboo forests.Unfortunately the giant Panda is an endangered species.
-Scientific Name:
There's no explanation for the origim of the word "panda".The scientific name of this animal is "Ailuropoda Melanoleuca".
-Habitat:
The panda natural habitat is the bamboo forest.They are usually found at central-western and south western chin,walking in the Qiling Mountains
-Remaing Populataion:
The giant panda is an endangered species.Because of this the remaing population of panda's is around 1,600 witch is a very little number and has to be changed.
-Why is it endangered?
People are clearing a lot,because of this the panda bear is being endangered and in a few years this animal may not exist,so the humanity has to stop clearing the bamboo forests.
-Impacts:
If the giant Panda get extinct,the food chain will not be too changed because they eat just bamboo and a little birds.
-Evolution:
In 2000,the population of pandas is estimated at 5,000,but now,in 2012,the remaing population is of 1,600 so the panda bear is a animal that is being extinct.
There's no information about the ancestors of the giant Panda
-Actions taken to save:
The organizations are trying to save the giant Panda by increasing the area of habitat under legal protection and isolating some pandas in zoo's or in governament areas.
